Cora is feisty and fearless! Her first sport was soccer; she would score and make the boys cry; we would frequently walk away from games with parents of boys saying she was too aggressive. A ref gave her a warning at a game and he frightened her- we never got back into the game again. She switched to basketball in 3rd grade and never lost the feistiness! She’d always played in boy leagues up until this year (6th grade). We asked her to switch to a girl team so she could do AAU. We’ve been searching for a team where she can use her skills. If she’s put in the right position and played correctly she is unstoppable and is enjoyable to watch. She makes the game come to life. Cora works hard, practices dribbling every day! If the coach teaches a play she runs it through her mind until she gets it,

Basketball is more than a game to me—it’s how I honor my uncle and carry his legacy every time I step on the court.

Hello Blue Chip Elite,

My name is Ivory Jones, and I am a 7th grader. I play small forward (3) and power forward (4), but I consider myself an all-around player.

I come from a big family with mostly boys, so I’ve always been around sports. Growing up, I participated in cheer, T-ball (softball), ballet, and tap from ages five to seven. Over time, basketball became my passion. I’ve been playing since 3rd grade, but I didn’t begin taking it seriously until 5th grade.

The biggest reason I play basketball is my uncle. He is the reason I fell in love with the game. He passed away due to gun violence, and ever since then, I carry his motivation with me every time I step on the court. I play to honor him and make him proud.

I am also blessed with a strong support system. I have a great mom and dad who continue to support me and push me to be my best.

I am very coachable and always open to correction so I can improve my game. I’ve practiced on my birthday and even before Thanksgiving dinner because I am dedicated to getting better.

I suffered an ACL injury that caused me to miss the entire 2024–2025 season. During my school season at Orange Park Junior High, I averaged 6 points per game, 15 steals, and 4 blocks, showing my defensive effort and impact on the game. I also compete in flag football and track for my school, which helps improve my speed, strength, and athleticism.

During that same school season, I struggled with confidence after people said I shouldn’t be a starter because I’m only a 7th grader. However, I worked through that and regained my confidence during the winter season, where I averaged 15 points per game at the YMCA.

Recently, I was baptized and gave my life to Christ, and I now want God to guide my basketball journey. I believe this will help me grow both as a player and as a person.

I am submitting this because I want the opportunity to continue improving, make my family proud, and honor my uncle’s legacy. Basketball runs in my family—my uncle played Division 1 and helped teach me the game, and my grandfather also played in high school—so I am surrounded by strong mentors who push me to be my best.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

With participation in two teams due to their performance. We are looking for a place for her to train and develop as an athlete.

Dylan started playing basketball in Kindergarten and has now played a total of 5 seasons. She has consistently been one of the top three players on her rec teams. For the past four seasons she has played as part of the Upward program but is looking to challenge herself and grow more as a player through more competitive play. She is quick and a strong defensive player. Her ball handling skills are solid as well as her court awareness. We are hoping to expose her to players and coaches that she can continue to learn from and improve her overall game.

Savannah has played basketball since she was 6 years old. She has developed a high basketball IQ which has allowed her to become a great facilitator and a solid defender. She is not a "scorer," but she will give you 5 to 8 pts a game. We played against Blue Chip in the Fall League, and we actually ran our offense through Savannah and she averaged about 7 assists per game and she is a good rebounder. She started for RJ Murray Middle School last year and is starting for Palm Valley Academy this year. She is PVA's second leading scorer, and she leads the team in rebounds and blocks. Through her first three games, she has had the least amount of turnover of any started, only have 1 TO all season. She keeps improving each year. She is a solid player. We have played with another organization for 4 seasons, but have been disappointed with our last couple experiences. We are looking to get her some where to play in the Spring. (She is 5'7", but I didn't see that as an option on the height).

I was on the middle school team this year, which was my first year playing organized basketball. During the season, I made a lot of progress with my shooting, dribbling, defense, and general understanding of the game. However, I was a backup and usually only played the last 2 mins +/- of each game. I want to get more game time to build confidence and situational awareness. I am a year round swimmer so in very good shape overall. I have been playing basketball either at school practice / game or in the cul de sac in front of the house 5-6 days / week for the past 4 months.
