Who we are

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

How this website handles children’s information

Members of this website who are under 13 will only be able to access services and submit personal information after parental consent is submitted.

If any violation of privacy or COPPA is made without parental consent and is reported to this website, Blue Chip will immediately remedy the violation and inform the parent or guardian of the violation details.

Any data that may be shared will only be shared with authorized users who may benefit our members’ academic, athletic, or professional development, such as high school, college, or professional sports programs, or authorized Blue Chip staff and service providers who help operate our programs and systems.

Mobile Messaging Privacy

Blue Chip may collect and use mobile phone numbers, SMS/MMS opt-in records, text messaging consent, and message activity in order to deliver customer-care and operational communications.

These communications may include BCOS access links, schedule updates, IDP membership updates, tournament availability reminders, roster or activity updates, urgent operational alerts, issue-report follow-up, and replies to inbound support requests.

Blue Chip does not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile messaging information may be shared only with service providers as necessary to deliver Blue Chip communications, operate our messaging systems, maintain security, support customer-care communication, and comply with applicable laws.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of SMS/MMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request help by replying HELP or contacting Blue Chip at info@bluechipelite.com or 904-395-5527.

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address, also called a hash, may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine whether you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data, such as EXIF GPS, included. Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

When you submit information through a contact form, registration form, evaluation form, availability form, or program-related form, Blue Chip may collect the information you provide in order to respond to your request, manage program participation, support BCOS access, coordinate activities, and communicate with authorized participants, parents/guardians, staff, coaches, and directors.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as videos, images, articles, or other media. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Analytics

Blue Chip may use analytics tools to understand website usage, improve site performance, monitor security, and improve the user experience.

Who we share your data with

Data and databases related to members of this website are shared only for internal operational use and with authorized users or service providers who support Blue Chip programs, systems, communications, safety, security, or member development.

Authorized users may include Blue Chip administrators, directors, coaches, staff, and approved program-related contacts who may benefit or support a member’s academic, athletic, or professional development, such as high school, college, or professional sports programs.

Blue Chip may also use service providers for website hosting, security, payment processing, email delivery, messaging, analytics, spam detection, and communications. These providers are used only as needed to operate and support Blue Chip services.

Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and text messaging consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Users may be able to see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except they cannot change their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Blue Chip may retain program, registration, communication, activity, safety, billing, and participation records as needed for administrative, legal, operational, safety, security, and program-history purposes.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, have left comments, or have submitted information through Blue Chip systems, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including data you have provided to us.

You may also request that we erase personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are required or permitted to keep for administrative, legal, security, billing, safety, or operational purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Information may also be processed through service providers used for website hosting, security, payment processing, email delivery, messaging, analytics, and communications.
