Player & Guardian Access (SafeSport Compliant)

Blue Chip Team App is SafeSport compliant to ensure that player communications are connected to guardians and visible through the app.

All communication with players should happen through the app.

Players old enough to have a mobile device should also install the app and begin managing their schedule and learning to respond appropriately.

  • A player can be assigned multiple guardians
  • Guardians can be designated as Primary or Secondary
  • Primary guardians receive all communications and can act and respond on behalf of the player

This keeps player communication visible, accountable, and properly controlled.

Problems Logging In?

Use the same email address used during Blue Chip registration.

Team App uses a single sign-on system. Because of that, you may also see other organizations connected to your account, especially depending on whether you are logging in from mobile or desktop.

That is normal. Just make sure you are connected to and using the correct Blue Chip team.

  • BC – Blue Chip Boys
  • BC – Blue Chip Girls

Do not create a new account with a different email. Do not search for your team. Do not request access manually.

Confirm You Are in the Correct Team

After login, confirm that you are in the correct Blue Chip team:

  • BC – Blue Chip Boys
  • BC – Blue Chip Girls

If you see other organizations in your account, that does not mean anything is wrong. Just make sure you are using the correct Blue Chip team.

Where to Find Information

BC NEWS is where public announcements and team-wide updates appear.

  • Season registration announcements
  • Tournament announcements
  • Organization-wide communication

PRACTICES + INFO is where action happens.

  • Practice schedules
  • Trainings
  • IDP sessions
  • RSVP items
  • Special information posts for a smaller group of players
  • Posts that may require feedback or response
How RSVP Works
If your player is shown and RSVP is requested, your player is expected to be there or is involved with that activity or information.
  • GOING = your player is attending / participating
  • NOT GOING = your player is not attending / not participating

If your player is not shown, your player is not expected to attend. The post is usually informational only so families know what else is happening and may choose to attend to support other players or the organization, but it is not required.

When RSVP is requested, respond.

This helps staff know your player’s status clearly.

Best Schedule View

In Games or Practices + Info, use the calendar/list toggle in the upper right corner.

The least confusing option is List View because it only shows upcoming events.

Calendar view can be more confusing because parents sometimes see older events and think they are still upcoming.

Best Way to Use App vs Website

Use the mobile app for:

  • Notifications
  • Chat
  • Quick RSVP responses

Use the website on your computer or phone for:

  • Viewing schedules
  • Navigating between sections
  • A cleaner experience without in-app ads

Tip: Save the website to your phone home screen if you prefer using it like an app.

Mobile App Warnings
Do not click app banners or ads.

Especially avoid anything that says Register or tries to get you to enter payment information. Those are not from Blue Chip.

To avoid full-screen ads and navigation frustration, use the website on your computer or phone for normal browsing, and use the mobile app mainly for notifications and quick responses.

Bottom Line

App = notifications. Website = navigation. BC News = info. Practices + Info = action. If your player is shown and RSVP is requested, respond.
