Another awesome set of games for week 2! We had lots of close and competitive games. We have 44 teams playing this season and divisions are pretty even, but we still need to make adjustments in the U12/U13/U14 divisions to 3 teams. So schedules in those divisions will change again this week.
Our goal is to be as even as possible at the beginning of the season, which is difficult to do when we have a mix of recreational, academy and preformed teams. Even more difficult when 180 players sign up within 3 days of registration close or late then only 60 players show up for evaluation.
As we attempt to transition to a development academy & separate competitive league we need to develop ongoing evaluations on players who expect to continue playing basketball. This is one of the components that will help us form our decisions moving into subsequent seasons and how to create teams and divisions based on what we have to work with until we can reach the goal of developing a greater love of basketball in the community and an environment that helps competitive players develop the skills and connections to be able to compete and win at upper level tournaments.
Evaluations
We have a base profile of around 60 rec players and 50 elite members. So if your player expects to continue with basketball then it is important that you make sure to complete a base profile.
Click the button to go to the player profile entry page. if you register with the BCE website and login before creating the profile you should be able to update/change the profile in the future. If you are unsure your player has a profile you can enter a new one and we will discard any duplicates.
